What does it take to be A Superhero?
Introduction
A superhero is a fictional character who is brave, fights to help people, and who often has special powers dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest. The first superhero was Superman who appeared in an American comic book in 1938. Since then there have been many more superheroes, and you have probably seen them in films and on TV. You will research and investigate different superheroes and their superhuman powers. Find out about some famous superheroes, read stories about some not-so-famous superheroes and design your own!
After completing several web based activities dealing with superheroes you will create a TRADING CARD and image of your own superhero.
Lets do the following activity together!
Imagine that there is a school for children who are learning to be superheroes. What lessons do you think children would take there? Here is a story about a school for superheroes - Superhero High.
