For assessment purposes this is a WebQuest for the Introduction to Marketing Module (Year 1)
Evaluation
Your task will be assessed based upon a marketing plan and an oral presentation.
Aim of the task: To examine the effectiveness of using a marketing plan in business
Objectives of the Task: On successful completion of this task the students should be able to:
- Explain a new fresh or frozen food product (suitable for diabetics) for the Irish market.
- Describe the main elements of a marketing plan
- Discuss market segmentation and the 4 Ps of the marketing mix
- Discuss the advantages of group work
The following rubrics will help your team to complete the task. The first rubric will assess the marketing plan, while the second rubric will assess the oral presentation. You will receive one overall grade on this WebQuest task 30% for the marketing plan and 20% for the oral presentation. Your final grade will be the marks accumulated from both rubrics. Each teams marketing plan and oral presentation will be evaluated on the following questions and criteria:
- Is your ‘new product’ idea, original, creative and imaginative?
- Does your marketing plan include all the essential elements of the marketing plan (see process)?
- Does your marketing plan highlight the task requirements found through research?
- Does the oral presentation grab the audience’s attention and is it engaging?
- Were you capable of answering questions in the Q&A session?
