WebQuest

Nutritional Sports

Teacher Page

Focus:
This WebQuest focuses on human anatomy and health.  The objective of the WebQuest is to have students learn how the nutrition, exercise, and the body systems are all related.

Objectives/Goals:
I would recommend using this project at the beginning of a unit of Human Anatomy, Nutrition, or Health.  The information that the students learn should spark additional questions that can be addressed later on in the unit.

  • Students will describe that human beings have body systems for obtraining and providing energy, defense, and the coordination of body functions.
  • Students will organize information in simple tables

Resources:
Prerequisite Skills: Comfort level with the Internet, Power Point Presentions, and Excel Spreadsheets
Time Required: 3+2 day- 3 days for lessons and preparation (40 minutes each) and 2 days for presentation days.
