Diabetes

An 18 year old girl was referred to your state-of-the-art Diabetic education clinic. Her family doctor said her blood glucose levels were 120 mg/dl after an overnight fast. Her family doctor indicates she is 160 cm tall and 76.7 Kg in mass. Her Body Mass Index (BMI) is30. She smokes, seldom exercises and enjoys watching TV and playing on the computer.

All indications are that this individual has the potential to develop adult onset diabetes. Your clinic consists of a mufti-modality team and will design a quick educational plan for her. Since she likes to watch TV and play on the computer it would be best to give this information in the form of a multimedia presentation. Your team has found it effective to use the crazytalk program and had great success with tailor made diabetic education program.

Your "Diabetic Dream Team"  should consists of 3-4 members.  Your organization will be divided into different duties:

1. Technical adviser - to make a crazytalk  video no longer than 5 minutes to educate the client.
   
2. Lifestyle coach - to write up a small article on diabetes and her treatment plan.
   
3. Scientific Adviser - to  provide scientific information about diabetes.
4. Team Leader - to organize the team and join in with team members whom need assistance.
