Creating a Business Plan Presentation

Students will be given the rubric at the beginning of the project so they know what is expected as they complete their projects. Written aspects of the project can either be scanned and turned in online or turned in together in a folder or notebook. Journal entries however should be completed online. Each pair will be scored on the presentations but individual scores will be given based on work performed during the creation process, work performed during the presentation, and written work turned in. A total score of 100 is possible for the assignment. Each partner may not receive the same score. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with...happy creating!!!!!!!

Visual Presentation Presentation has very little visual appeal. No clip art, little to no color or font details, not put together logically. No graphs included. Uses some visual creativity. Includes 1-3 images, some understanding of coloring and font themes and the presentation is put together with some cohesion. Includes graphs but the graphs do not make sense. Good use of imagery, color and font themes, and presentation is put together nicely. May include some animations. Graphs are present and correlate with data included in the presentation. Visual presentation has exceptional use of imagery, color and font themes, possibly includes animations and graphs are creative and correlate with the data included in the presentation. 30
Oral Presentation The presentation is not knowledgeable, does not make since, or include any cohesive information. Students do not explain their business effectively. Students are not very clear when speaking. Students are able to explain some aspects of their presentation/business but do not give all required information. Students are difficult to understand. Students give great details in their presentations about their businesses they are able to relate their business to the Industrial Revolution effectively. Students are also easily understood. Students are comfortable with their audience, very professional, the presentation is detailed, and is presented logically. Students are able to meet all requirements with the information presented as it relates to the lesson objectives. 30
Radio Commercial/ Print Advertisement Students have no Radio Commercial or Print Advertisement or has one but not the other. Students commercial is at least 30 seconds long and includes some information about their business. Print Advertisement is eye catching but does not include all required information (business name, access information, and graphic representation). The commercial is 30-60 seconds long and includes important details about the business or product. Print Advertisement is visually appealing and includes details of the business. The commercial sounds realistic, includes vital details plus has a fun, creative concept incorporated. The commercial also must be 30-60 seconds. Print Advertisement is very creative(using colors and graphic rep- resentations) and includes detailed information about the product and business (including name, how to access the business/product). 20
Journal Entries/Notes/Written Aspects of the Project Students have little to no notes, journal entries, or written aspects. What is provided provides very little information about the Industrial Revolution, the businesses or any ideas or notes relating to the project. Students have some of the written aspects of the project but not all of it is included. What is provided offers some details or a lot of details are offered but not all written aspects are included. Students provide almost all of the written aspects of the project with detailed notes and entries. All written aspects are included with great detail and are well organized. 20
