Basic Sewing Techniques

Students will need access to the internet to complete this assignment because research is needed. The assignment could be done in about three class periods of 50 minutes. The basic idea of this webquest is for students to understand the importance of a Basic Hand Stitches in the Home Economics and be able to understand how to implement the various types of stitches on different types of garment or house-hold items.

Standards

-Students will able to appreciate basic hand stitches as it will boost one skills. -Understand how to make the three types of basting stitches. -Be able to implement the basic hand stitches into the lives of others by sharing the knowledge acquired. -Understand how the limited skills in sewing can be expensive. -The importance of gaining a skill as sewing. -Ways to help students and teacher be enthused about Clothing and Textile.
