What's the Cost of your Vacation?

This webquest is geared towards teaching students about economics. Children
probably do not know everything their parents go through when planning a
vacation. We think it is important for the students to spend a little while in
their parents' shoes. Also this teaches students how to compare costs of
different modes of transportation in addition to how to apply decision-making
skills as a consumer and citizen of not only Kansas, but the United States as
well. In preparation for this webquest, you as the teacher need to go over the
rules and responsibilities of having the privilege to use the Internet.  Also, the budget and the vacation dates can be adjusted accordingly as desired by each individual teacher.  This webquest should take students 1 week at most with groups broken into 4 students.
