Race across China

Your task is to race across China.  You must start in Taiwan and visit a city there.  In Taiwan you must visit one city and in that city you must spend the night.  Document how much you spend for a hotel and all other expenses you have.  This includes meals, travel and any souvenirs you buy.  You must visit at least one historical site. You must also get from Taiwan to Shanghai China. You must enter mainland China through Shanghai.

In China you must do the following

 You must visit the following cities, Beijing and Benxi.
You must visit one of the following cities
Korla
Xian
Lhasa
You must visit one of the following provinces
Heilongjiang
Yunnan
Sichuan
If you wish to visit more than one province or city, you may.  Remember you need to end up in Kathmandu at the end of the race.   You need to have some money left to start the next leg of your race.
You must spend at least one night at each stop.  Remember to account for travel time between locations as you plan your trip.

You will document your race in a diary.  Be creative in your diary entries, but be realistic also.

At the end of your race you will have visited 1 city in Taiwan, 2 required cities in China, 1 other city or province, spend time with a family, visited a school, a religious site, a tourist site, a historical site, get a job, explored their food and learned about their Dynasties (12 items total).  You must also submit your expense account and a travel account (2 items total).  You must have a final meeting place.
