With the completion of this webquest students will have achieved a solid understanding of the connections and relevance between the social sciences, and more importantly how integrating the curriculum improves students higher-level thinking skills; reduces curricular fragmentation resulting in a unified sense of process and content;provides stronger real-world applications yielding increased opportunities for the transfer of learning; enables greater mastery of content; heightens sense of initiative and autonomy; improves students ability to adopt multiple points of view; and enhances motivation to learn.

Therefore, an integrated approach needs to be adopted so students can see the connections and relevance between the subjects. Their learning will no longer be fragmented but holistic, as they learn at a deeper level when connections are made. When curriculum is integrated, material is connected in the way in which it exists around them and throughout their world.
