This particular assignment targets 3rd grade students. When organizing the groups keep in mind that students are paired up with another that can help. In other words do not place two high achievers together.

For your ELL and special education students allow them more time as well as resource help in the assignment.

To target higher learners you may want to add more to each task. Have them give more facts and write longer papers.
