Visual Literacy: Connections Between the Visual and the Verbal

Targeted Learners: This webquest can be utilized with students in 3rd +. The idea is to get students familiar with using and implementing visual literacy skills when looking at different visuals they encounter on a daily basis.
As written in the student section, an artwork will be selected by the students that they will try to gather the story behind the image. Using visual literacy skills, the student will decipher clues left by the artist to develop a meaning behind the image.
Students will need to select one artwork from the following museum websites:
