PART ONE
Use the following steps to help you figure out the meaning or purpose for a
work of art.

Look
closely at the image to find clues about the works meaning.
·
Pick
out the things that are recognizable to you that you can relate.
·
Use
those things that you recognized to help you learn the works possible meaning.
·
Based
on your past experiences develop a meaning for the work.
PART TWO
Use a Venn Diagram that will help you with the
identification of important aspects about the artwork.
·
Section
1- Things that you recognize.
·
Section
2- Things about the artwork that you can relate to.
·
Section
3- Things you need to learn more about.
·
Middle
Section- What do they all have in common?
PART THREE
After the Venn Diagram is completed. Take the elements that you closely
identify with to create a new work of art. You are to incorporate the following
ideas into the work.
·
Why
are these elements important? What themes or ideas do they explore?
·
How
can you present it in a different manner to change its overall meaning?
·
How
can/ does this element relate to society?
