A Day in the Life of a Slave

Teacher Page

This webquest was made for students to become more aware about slavery and the Underground Railroad. I chose multiple resources that were, in my opinion, of high quality. There are some interactive games that I used to really engage the students. You are more than welcome to change up any of the outcomes that I have provided with each step of my webquest. I can see this webquest taking at least a week to complete depending on how much time you devote to the webquest in each class. You should allow your students enough time to complete each step of the quest.
Recommended time line:
Day 1: steps 1 and 2
Day 2: steps 3, 4, and possibly 5.
Day 3: step 5, if not already completed, step 6, and step 7.
Day 4: Go over how to use the webtool that I provided. Allow students to begin working on final project.
Day 5: Continue working on final project.
Day 6: If needed, keep working or presentations.
