Exploring Plot Through Animation

Teacher Page

This webquest may take about seven days to complete.  Educators may shorten the webquest and/or use only the activities that may help their students specifically with plot- rather it be in reading and/or writing.  The short clips are ideal for minilessons and engagement.  The packet does come with an answer key.  Below, I will list the references for the Pixar Unit.  You may also build this webquest into a longer unit and/or break it up for review and revisiting later in the school year.  It is built with differentiation- from visuals to organizers.  Any suggested picture books have been very successful and again are engaging for the students to follow along and increase their understanding of plot.

Please note- my standards will only list 4th Grade (specific to my students); however, this webquest may range from 3rd grade to 5th grade.  Also:  I have included all ELA standards- as for the webquest covers elements of reading, writing, and grammar.
