This web quest is
aimed at high C2 /low C1 students (Pre-Proficiency course) who are expected to
do it as an online assignment.
Since the course book has a unit called Females
at their Finest, where several women are featured throughout the different
activities, I thought this was a good way to introduce them to the topic. Also,
since two of this course goals are presentation and argumentative skills, they
will be able to practice them throughout this task, while working
cooperatively.
  Although no emphasis is
made on specific grammar or lexis, the goal is that they incorporate a wide
array of complex structures and vocabulary appropriate for their level.
Also, they will be using their technological
skills with the aim of creating a meaningful final product.

Standards

Proficient user at C2 level can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read; can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation; and can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently, and precisely. He can present a smoothly, clearly flowing description or argument in a style appropriate to the context and with an effective logical structure which helps the recipient to notice and remember significant points.

Proficient user at C1 level can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions; can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. He can present clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects, integrating sub-themes, developing particular points, and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion.
