Required Resources and Materials:Computer/lap top, colored pencils, pen/pencil, paper, journal/notebookStrategies for intergrating language arts, where applicable:Given the amount of time available, class will read "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher StoweStrategies for teaching applicable social studies vocabulary:Class will preview vocabualry prior to beginning the WebQuest. Will discuss and define vocabulary together (as a class).Hand-on learning experiences:Students' will use the internet and construct diary entries and/or journal entriesDifferentiated Instruction:Students' will be provided the opportunity to work with a partner. (No more than two students). WebQuest directions may be read aloud if needed. Provide special needs students' and ELL more time to complete the task.
