A KESTREL FOR A KNAVE

Task description
Your task is twofold:
1. Read the book as you go through the assignments of this quest.
2. Prepare and film a short video (5-7 mins.) on the basis of the book A Kestrel For a Knave.

The web quest will help you become better acquainted with the novel. It contains both group and individual assignments. The final assignment is a creative assignment: you will choose a scene from the book, link it to your own lives and create a short video. Your movie will be shown during the 7th lesson.

Group members
All tasks – research, writing of the script and acting - are to be shared evenly among group members.

Improvisation 
Ideally, when acting you should be able to say your lines without the help of a text sheet. Therefore you are encouraged to improvise when performing. Another option is to learn your lines by heart. However, this is not a requirement; you are allowed to read from page whenever you feel you need to. Your mark will reflect your efforts.

Score
The class as a whole will form the audience for all six movies that will have been created. Each group's short movie will be assessed by both the teacher and the other groups, each focusing on one element of the performance. Your final mark will be the average between the two assessments.
