Colonizing Mars

You are the commander of the first manned mission to Mars. You objective is to identify the greatest challenges that humans face surviving on Mars and develop the necessary strategies and technology to support manned missions to Mars and eventually the colonization of Mars.  You must first research the conditions on Mars including the natural resources, temperature, atmosphere, and terrain.  You will evaluate these variables to identify the greatest risks posed to human life, as well as the useful resources available to aid human life.  You will identify current technology that can be leveraged to assist in your mission as well as technology that must be developed in order to accomplish your mission.
