Giving a Voice - House on Mango Street Webquest

SWBAT apply information learned about Mexican immigration to the United States by creating an informative brochure.

1. Your brochure must be visually appealing, have two sides, variations in text (headings, subheadings, etc.), an attractive cover, and appropriately placed photos with captions.

2. Your brochure must demonstrate a firm understanding of the isses surrounding immigration between the border of the United States and Mexico. The brochure must provide background information, multiple perspectives, and current issues relating to immigration between Mexico and the United States.

3. Your brochure must cite all resources used. If you only use the resources in the WebQuest, then you will have seven citations:

- one for the Interactive Map

- one for the Myth vs. Realities Quiz 

- one for each photo

- one for each section accessed in "The New Frontier / La Nueva Frontera"

- one for the PBS NewsHour video
