Checks and Balances

In order for the aliens to truly understand the checks and balances system of government, they need to hear about examples. So over the next 5 days, you are going to start by learning about the United States Government, and then you will learn about learn about real events in United States history. You will create a PowerPoint presentation or an essay (your choice) that shows them real events where  either one branch of the United States government stopped another branch from exercising too much power, or failed to stop another branch from exercising too much power. Then you will state your case whether it is a good way for them to run their government or not. If you are ready, it is time to proceed to the process page and get started!
