Extra, Extra, Read All About It: McCarthy Begins Witch-hunt!

While doing this Webquest you will learn about the Salem Witch Trials. You will have an in depth understanding of what happened to those accused of Witchcraft as well as the reasons that a town would resort to such extremes. In addition to learning about the Witch Trials of 1692, you will also discover how it relates to the McCarthy Era that took place in America from 1950 to 1956. You will learn about what is commonly referred to as a "Witch Hunt" and the necessary qualifications for such an event to occur.
