The Scientific Method
Task
In this WebQuest, you will learn about the steps to the scientific method and be able analyze experiments for their validity. In other words, you will find out when to trust information and when not to.
You will visit an interactive website to learn more about the scientific method and test your knowledge. You will be asked to record the answers to the questions posed by the website.
Then you will visit a website with two experiments. You will evaluate those experiments and answer questions. Again, you need to record your answers.
Finally, I will ask you to read an article published in a science magazine. You will write a brief report on the paper including a summary and evaluation of the experiment.
These skills are the foundation of any scientist. As you may have been told, you can't believe everything you read/see on TV/read on the internet. You will learn how to become a skeptic!
