Growing Up with Mass Media

The group is subdivided into three teams. Each team is responsible for analyzing the type of mass media, carrying out a survey and presenting the results in PP presentation format.

You have two weeks to complete the project.

WEEK 1

Analyse the type of mass media trying to figure out its specific features, the advantages and disadvantages that are usually associated with it.

Compile a questionnaire to gather information from a group of people. You can learn a group's knowledge, opinions and preferences by surveying them through a questionnaire. Also you can check if the you�ve summed up the information on the Net right and back your conclusions with the opinions expressed.

Conduct a poll among MSU students and your friends.

WEEK 2

Analyse the information you gathered

Make a PP presentation to demonstrate the results of your research and your poll.

The presentation should include:

•    the description of the mass media type
•    its specific features
•    pros and cons of using this type of mass media

All points should be backed with the survey results.

IN CLASS

Be ready to present your findings in class (all team members are to speak) and answer the questions.
