Teaching Geography's Five Themes

• Location within Italy (Southern, Central or Northern Region)
• Population and major forms of transportation (between and within each city)
• Geographic features (Landmarks and vegetation)
• Culture (religion, products and food)
• Cost of living and expenses (economics)
• Government structure
• Historical events or people 

Students will be grouped into three's; each member is responsible for his portion of the assignment. Students will give a brief presentation on the cities chosen and the information learned.

Students can utilize a variety of resources to collect information, textbooks and/or internet.

Days four and five will cover evaluating key events and people who influenced the United States (US) from the 1600�s to the 21^st century. You will be able to develop and understand the impact of these events on the diverse cultures. The final lesson will help you develop the knowledge to explain and describe the term economics.
