1. Watch the You Tube video on the introduction page. Next research the websites (on the Process Page) and gather data for the time line on a sheet of paper. Next, with pencil on the poster board near the bottom write the dates on your time line but give enough room to write 12 entries or you may write more( also may want to use a ruler.) Dates should start at 1866 and go until 1920. Try to pick the most significant events and use this example: 1866 Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the American Equal Rights Association for white and black women along with black men for the right to vote (You can use this as your first one).
2. Gather the words or phrases of importance for Womens Suffrage (such as Equality) and draw them with pencil before you color them with markers or crayons.
3. Add any pictures you want (on the poster board) of women getting the right to vote (either drawn or printed from the inter-net sites).
4. Write your short story (two hundred words minimum) about your experience as a reporter documenting the womens suffrage movement and women finally getting the right to vote. Who was
there? What happened? Where did it take place? When was it? How many people voted that day? Also, include whatever else you think is important as a reporter. Use complete sentences and use the correct spelling.
