The HELP

There will be a number of projects to pick from for this WebQuest.  Each group of 4 members will complete each task.   

Project 1- Mural

Your group of 4 people will create a mural depicting the Civil Rights Movement events that were mentioned in the book. A summary of each event or person in the mural should be described in the caption at the bottom of the mural, to insure viewers have an understanding of the events.

Project 2- Character Writing

Each member will write a short story in the voice of a main character from the book. each group member must chooses a different character: Ailibeen, Minny, Ms. Skeeter or Mrs. Hilly. 

Project 3- Racism in America

As a group you will reflect on modern day race relations in America. Be sure to answer the questions:Has anything changed with racism in America?  Is there still tension between whites and blacks? What other communities experience racism in America today?

This should be a 2-3 page reflection about what the Civil Rights Movement did and how it succeeded or failed in the mission of creating equality in America.
