The HELP

The purpose of this project is for you to develop an understanding of the Civil Rights movement and the changes that occurred due to it. You have also examined modern day racism and found connections between racism today and the Civil Rights Movement.  Although a fictional book, The Help displays many real events that happened during the 1960s.
Labels and racism may always exist, but after reading The Help and completing the WebQuest, you should better understand the consequences behind them. The Civil Rights was not just an event, it did not just happen, it has had effects that have been felt through the years and will continue to effect future racial relations.
