The Human Digestive System

Teacher will address the class and settle students for learning.
Teacher will project a youtube video for students to watch and identify the lesson topic.
Student will announce the topic they will be focusing on for the class session after watching the video (digestive system), then student will tell the teacher what they think the digestive system is.
A class discussion will take place between teacher and students about students responses. Then a definition of the digestive system will be given.
The teacher will divide the class into four groups. The students will be given a list of websites to research their designated section of the assignment.
The groups will be given blank papers, colored markers, and pencils for note taking. Cartridge paper, play dough, recycled items (empty bottles, tissue paper, newspaper) will also will available as materials for students to use varied ways for presenting their information (optional).
Each group will receive a tablet to research their assigned sites. The teacher will set the timer for groups to begin.
Groups will work together to complete different tasks given to them by the teacher.
After a 30 minute period students will present their information.
After group presentations groups will be given a worksheet to complete.
