Are You Going to Celebrate Thanksgiving Day?

This assignment requires you to work together in  a team of 5 students. Working in a group can be more effective. It's your responsibilty to work as a team and investigate all about Thanksgiving and how it is celebrated.

Step 1:

Make 3 groups of five people and work together.
The topics to investigate are:
1) The Origin of Thanksgiving Day as a National Holiday.
2) Native Americans and Their Role in Pilgrims' Survival.
3) Ways and Habits in Thanksgiving Celebration.

Step 2:

Decide on your responsibilites in the group. You are to find out who will be:
2 INFORMATORS (to provide the group with the necessary information and pictures);
DESIGNER (to arrange the information in one of the suggested formats);
MANAGER (to coordinate the work of the group);
SPEAKER (to present the group work).

Step 3:
Gathering the information

Group informators have to provide their groupmates with information or useful links on the topic discussed.
All members of the group have to read the same sites and make notes about different sites (at least 3 sentences on each site).
Group informators will decide what data and pictures will be included in the final group work.
Don't forget to :
make an introduction to the topic;
give some bright examples based on your investigation;
draw the conclusion.

Step 4:
Creating the quest.

Students will arrange the information into Power Point presentation or a Movie Maker  film. A designer is responsible for the draft of the project. A manager will see to both working on the format of the project and creating Thanksgiving crafts.

Step 5: 
Presentation.

A speaker will present the group work to the students and the teacher.
