1. You should have already watched "The Element Song by Tom Lehrer" and the "Atomic Structure Video"on the previous pages. If you have not, go back and do this.

2. Watch the "Atoms, Elements & The Periodic Table" video.

3. Open the attachment below called: " BBC Element Video Questionaire". Print it out. Your teacher may have given you a copy. Go back and watch the BBC video in step #2 above and complete the worksheet as you watch it for the second time. You will need to show your teacher that you completed this.

4. Open and print out the question sheet below called " Do I Get This Element Thing?". Maybe you already have this sheet from your teacher. Using the resources offered to you on this webquest complete the worksheet and hand it in to your teacher. Follow the instructions in steps 5-7 below so that you know what to do to complete the worksheet.

5. Go to the "BBC Reading Text" website below and read the articles. There are 7 short articles on separate pages to read. Then test your understanding with the online test at the base of the first page.  There are questions on the worksheet to answer off this site so take the time to read through it.

6. Go to the Chem4kids website listed below. Read the article and click on the elements hydrogen, carbon and sodium in the box in the centre of the page to find out more about them.

7. Watch and listen to the teachertube song,  "Meet the Elements" below.

8. Zoom into an aluminum can and see the atoms in the link below.

9. At home, watch the "Eureka" video and the "Bill Nye" video on atoms.

10. Collect the "Bill Nye Video Questionaire" from your teacher or print it out below. Fill it in as you watch the video.

11. Now that you are clearer on what an element is and how many types exist, you need to choose an element to sell to everyone else. Open the attachment called "Sell Your Element" below and follow the instructions. Use the interactive periodic tables available to you on the first "welcome" page or find your own. Tell me if you find a really cool site that I can add!
