Trout: From Eggs to Adults - A Journey of Survival
Trout Habitats and Survival

Where do trout live? What do they eat? What dangers do they face? Complete these tasks to find out why so few trout eggs survive to adulthood.
1. Print out two copies of Attachments 1 and 2 (below) Trout Environmental Needs and Only the Strong Survive sheets.
2. Read and use Attachments 3 through 6 (below) to help you complete the Trout Environmental Needs and Only the Strong Survive sheets.
3. Use the information from the Trout Environmental Needs and Only the Strong Survive sheets to create a color poster about trout survival. The poster should focus on one danger that trout, at any life stage, may face in trying to live to adulthood. Use a sheet of regular copy paper, and be sure to include the name of the trout stage and label the dangers.
4. Print out Attachments 7 and 8 Rules for Catch the Critters Game and Cards for Catch the Critters Game.
5. Cut out the cards, play the game, and have fun!
