You are a professor for a college.  Because of your love and interest for history, the president of the college has asked you to prepare a presentation for Black History Month this February.  You decide to choose one of the persons or events from the movement to create your presentation on.  Before you choose which person or event, you decide to do a little research before you make your final decision.  You decide to use one guiding question to help you focus your thoughts; Why was this person or event important to the Civil Rights Movement?
