Attention voyagers!  You have been selected to embark on a Fantastic Voyage into the strange and microscopic world inside of a eukaryote cell.  Your mission is to find out how that cell is able to transform food and oxygen into energy.  You can all recognize a eukaryote cell, but can you explain chemiosmosis? Prepare yourselves for the show of a lifetime as you get inside the workings of the tiny factories that change the air you breathe and those veggies you ate for dinner into the cells being created tomorrow.

Cellular respiration is a chemical process in which the bonds of food molecules and oxygen molecules are broken and new compounds are formed that can transport energy to muscles.  Cellular respiration also releases the energy needed to maintain body temperature despite ongoing energy transfer to the surrounding environment.
