Basketball Officiating

The game of basketball has evolved with the rise of player skill and so too must those who oversee the game. In this webquest you will research those men and women who enforce the rules of the game. You will examine the history of officiating and then look at some of those early pioneers of the refereeing profession. Then we will look at some of the modern official and finally how women have also progress in the world of officiating.

Tasks

#1 The student will we able to understand the history and evolution of basketball referees.

#2 The student will be able to research some of these early men and women who were  the first to officiate the game of basketball.

#3 The student will be able to research some of the modern officials who have become the leaders in their field.

$3 The student will be able to research the rise of women though out the ranks of basketball referees.
