You will soon graduate high school and are thinking about your plans for the future. Perhaps you want to attend college.  When you turn 18, you may want to join the military.  Although you may have to register for the Selective Service, there has not been a draft in our country since 1973 and active military service is still voluntary.

Can you imagine being 12 years old and not being able to attend school?  Your future does not include higher education, you are unsure of your job prospects.  You live in fear of being removed from your home and forced to serve in the military and fight against your friends and family in a civil war you know nothing about. This is the fate of hundreds of thousands of children around the world.
