Choctaw Indians and the Trail of Tears

During this Webquest you will learn about  the Trail of Tears and the Indian Removal Act. You will learn about what the Trail of Tears was like for Choctaw Indians. You will watch videos, view a map, and read a webpage that will inform you about the Trail of Tears and Indian Removal Act and Choctaw Indians. You will  be completing various worksheets that accompany these activities. You will then write a letter from a Choctaw Indian's point of view that is experiencing the Trail of Tears. Finally, some of you will be reading your letters aloud for the other fourth grade classes as the rest of the class re-enacts the Trail of Tears during a movement activity. This will allow you to inform others about the Choctaw Indians and their suffering and advocate for them.
