Black History Month - Lesson Plan and Journal

     Journals entries will be input daily. Students will either listen to or read the biography of a significant American each day and write about their dream. They will indicate the adverse circumstances the individual faced and how they overcame them.

     Students will evaluate how the lives of these significant individuals relate to their own life and whether the strategies utilized will be effectual for them as well. Students will then write about their personal dream. Journals will be evaluated by a rubric. To further insure comprehension, students will take a pre quiz at the beginning of the unit and the same as a post quiz at the end of the unit.
