This project is a great way to integrate writing, art, technology and math into science class. This project allows all students feel some measure of success and meets the needs of a diverse learning community. A Blog or Glog could take the place of a printed resume. Students could create a video resume of a volcano.
This activity meets the National Science Standards for Structure of the Earth System (5-8) and Physical Science Standards which focuses on forces, motion and transfer of energy (5-8).
