Not Without My Daughter: Experiencing the Lives of Betty and Matob Mahmoody

Here is your first task: Put yourself in Betty's shoes.

Create a series of four letters similar to the ones Betty writes home to her family. You will need to include actual details from the novel describing what is happening to Mahtob and yourself while in Iran.

Here is your second task: Put yourself in Mahtob's shoes.

Create a journal/diary consisting of no less than eight pages that Mahtob could have written during her stay in Iran. Assuming that you cannot write yet, this will consist of mostly drawn pictures. Be creative! It would be a good idea to include some of the same things that you are also writing about in Betty's letters.

You will present at least one of your letters and two diary entries to the class at the end of the project.
