The Island of the Blue Dolphins

1.  Open the Reading Assignments by clicking on this link:  Assignments for Chapters 1 to 5.

2.  Click Save As and name the document Chapters 1 to 5 or Assignment 1.

3.  As you read chapters 1 to 5, type your responses into the Reading Assignments document.  Save and print when finished.

4.  While reading this book, you will be creating a Power Point presentation entitled Animals of San Nicholas  Islands.

Your first assignment is to create the title slide for your Power Point and to then to research the Channel Island of San Nicholas. You will create slides with information about location, description, weather, and geography.  You will also want to find a map to include in your slides about San Nicholas.

Be sure to connect San Nicholas Island with the book and include this information in your opening slides  -- see if you can find a creative way to do this!
