The classroom will be divided in groups of 3 students each.  Each group will focus its learning on one particular religion: Christianity, Islam or Judaism.

1) For this task, one student from each group will take the particular role of a believer according to his religion.  You have to compile a short essay of 300 words with the findings to formulate your research as a general outlook of your particular religion of choice. In your essay, you are expected to highlight the fundamental beliefs of this religion and also the practices expected from the religion followers. You should also make a reference to the main ethical issues as presented by your religion of choice.  The essay must be presented in Microsoft Word and should be written using the Calibri Font size 12, with a 1.5 line spacing. The essay should have the title of the respective religion and the sub-heading: Doctrine and Ethics. Moreover, it should also have the students' names who are part of the group.

2) The second member of the group will take the role of a historian.  With the use of  pictures using Google Images, you must present a timeline of the major events that shaped your particular religion of choice. Moreover, use Google Maps or Google Earth to present a screenshot of the most important landmark from the religion you are investigating: Jerusalem for Judaism, Rome for Christianity and Mecca for Islam. Both the timeline and the screenshot should be presented in MS Publisher. The Timeline should include at least 20 pictures, all of which should be well dated and titled. The screenshot should also be titled.

 3) Another member from each group will take the role of an anthropologist. He will build up a table and generate a graph in order to get a general overview of the distribution of the fidelities in the six major continents. After forming the table with the number of fidelities for the religion chosen by that group, a graph will be generated to show a quick view of the percentage of the believers in each continent. The six major continents are South America, North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Present both your table and your graph in Microsoft Excel. The Table should be well presented and easy to understand. On the other hand the graph should have the percentage of fidelities on the X-axis and the continents on the Y-axis. Present a different colour for each continent.

4) Now its time for you to put your heads together and work towards the collective task. With all the information gathered from your seperate tasks, compile a powerpoint presentation to give out a  general view of what constitutes a religion with all its particularities and its major events. This must be presented in a PowerPoint Presentation.  You are expected to design a 10 slide PowerPoint Presentation which will take about 10 minutes to present.  It is important to make moderate use of animation effects and cliparts as well as be able to write down the information gathered in point form. You have to work collaboratively. Teamwork is very important.
