Women in the Civil Rights Movement

To begin this assignment, each student, individually, will focus on either Rosa Parks or Dolores Huerta. Use the corresponding links to learn about their lives, role within their respective organizations NAACP / UFW, and the social justice campaigns that they organized. Then, individually, write a short summary of what you learned about them. (10 points)

Next, you will exchange summaries, proofread each others summaries and provide grammatical corrections as well as suggestions to each other via E-mail (Carbon Copy me in your reply). (10 points)

Finally, as a team, you will imagine what it would've been like if these two women had met in 1968 (they never did). Develop a list of items that you think they would've discussed regarding their social justice campaigns. (10 points)
