Activity 1 - Building Rhyming Ranger Knowledge
Part A - Rhyming Authors
Some authors who write good rhyming stories are

Its time to go on safari!! Grab your library bag and your logbook and you're all ready to go. Turn to Page 1 of your log-book and work your way through the activities to start to build your Rhyming Ranger Knowledge.
When you are at the library you will need to change group roles each new book
Member 1 - looks for a book by an author
Member 2 - reads the book aloud to the group
Member 3 - if the whole group decides they really like the book, writes the groups answers to the questions about it in the logbook.
All Members - decide what to write about the favourite books.
Using the class computers, go to https://www.youtube.com and your logbook to build some Rhyming Ranger Knowledge about your favourite books.
When you are back at the classroom on a computer you will need to change group roles for each book
Member 1 - types on the computer
Member 2 - writes answers in the logbook
Member 3 - helps member 2 figure out how to write the answers
All Members - decide together what the answers are
Part B - Rhyme and Roll
Go to http://pbskids.org/superwhy/#game/rhymenroll and rotate group roles while you play the game and use page 2 of your log-book to build your rhyming ranger knowledge.
Member 1 - plays the game
Member 2 - writes the rhyming word list from the game in the logbook
Member 3 - checks the spelling of the words in the logbook
Part C - Rhyming is so easy
Look at the rhyming is so easy video below. Use page 3 of your logbook to add to your Rhyming Ranger Knowledge.
Each time you look at the video change group roles
Member 1 - remembers as many rhyming words as they can and tells them to member 2
Member 2 - writes the rhyming words that member 1 remembers
Member 3 - checks the spelling of the remembered words.
