Evaluation
This project will be graded into four categories: Research Design, Connection, Presentation, and Citation.
Research Design - This category focuses on your research. Were you able to successfully research the topic? Did you go beyond expectations and do your own research or did you just use the links provided to you? Did you use both primary and secondary sources? How did you evaluate the validity of the sources you were using?
Connection - This category focuses on if you were able to connect the discovery of the Lucas Gusher to its impact on the region today. You are required to focus on three factors: political, social, and economics. How did the discovery of oil change the politics of Southeast Texas? Can we still see these changes today? How did the discovery of oil change Southeast Texas society? Is our society still affected today? How did the discovery of oil change the economy of Southeast Texas? Does it still effect our economy today?
Presentation - This category focuses on your presentation. Is it clear, concise, and to the point? Do you use a mix of wording and pictures? Is it easy to understand? This is your chance to be creative.
Citation - This category focuses on your writing skills and if you can correctly cite your sources. Remember to check if you using the correct citations. This is not the time to use a citation generator as they are not always correct.
