Exploring Iran

This web quest is geared toward the study of Iran and its culture, history, and people.It is intended for 9-12 grade English language learners and it hits on several standards including research and writing. Students are required to prepare a presentation to show what they have gathered. By giving the students the role of ministry of tourism the purpose is to  increase students motivation to learn the language, foster divergent thinking, and  connect language learning to real world tasks.

Standards

This web quest was designed with the aim of extending students knowledge about Iran which gives them an opportunity to be familiar with the culture and lives of people in this country. since the language learners are from Iran, the other purpose of the authors is localizing the process of English learning.
