Exploring Iran

for doing your task you should follow these steps:

step 1: first select a partner among your colleagues for yourself who is a responsible person, the one that you can work with her/him.

step 2: select roles.  so that throughout the assignment you will know the responsibilities that you have assumed and will try to finish  them on time.

step 3: search for the information needed. try to find an answer for the following questions:

geography:

1. what is the English and Persian name of Iran?

2. where is Iran located? ( show on a map)

3. what other countries, bodies of water or mountain borders Iran?

4. what is the capital city of Iran? and name some other important cities of this country.

5. what is the predominant climate of Iran?

history:

• find about some historical events that happened in Iran.
• what are three historical places in Iran that are part of UNESCO world heritage center.

culture:

•  find about the costumes, traditions and architecture, that Iran is famous for.

tourist attraction:

• search for three tourist attraction in Iran that attracts people from all over the world. 

restaurants and hotels:

• which restaurants in Iran are famous for having delicious meals?
• name three food which are popular in Iran ?

traditions and festivals:

• name three festivals in Iran that every year they have and find about tradition of Iranian in these festivals.

Step 5: choose one of the categories above and  prepare your presentation. Before choosing one, consult with your teacher about it.


Step 6: Be Ready to Present your presentation. As in doing your task, you should select roles in your presentation too. Try to make it interesting so that other students will be eager to listen.

Note:  you have to  search about all of the categories above but prepare a presentation for one of them. After all of the students’ presentation, you will have a quiz prepared by the teacher.

And also ask yourself the following questions:

If you had to use five words to describe Iran, what would they be? Do you think these words are different from the ones you would have used before searching about Iran?

Describe freedom  in Iran.

Why is everyone talking about Iran?

Is Iran a developing country?

What is the dress code for men and women in Iran?

How are the Iranian people like?

What are Do's and Don'ts for Iranian people?
