National Symbols & Landmarks

Throughout this web quest, Kindergarteners will learn about important National Symbols and Landmarks. This was designed to teach key facts and vocabulary through videos since Kindergartners are still learning how to read.  Drawing and coloring pictures will help this grade level remember most of the facts and vocabulary words while they are drawing and coloring the symbols and landmarks. This web quest will take about a week to teach, about 1 hour each class day. The videos in this web quest are easy to listen to and most are fun to watch.  I recommend to review key facts and vocabulary words after each daily video(s).  I hope you have fun teaching this unit!

This web quest covers the Social Science Kindergarten Standard K.2: Students recognize national and state symbols and icons such as the national and state flags, the bald eagle, and the Statue of Liberty.
