Focus:

This WebQuest is aimed at giving an introduction to poetry and is not meant to be a lesson plan by itself. It would go well with further study of poets and all the different kinds of poetry. This WebQuest is a fun way of getting the ball rolling so that students can get "hooked" on poetry. For an advanced class or for older students, harder words can be implemented to provide a greater challenge.

Goals:
The main goal is to just have fun and get the "creative juices" flowing. Poetry is becoming a lost art, and students need to learn about it as a way of expressing themselves. More can be done with the game show idea as a way of getting students excited. An actual hands on game could be substituted into the classroom rather than just this WebQuest.
