Ines Marquez Chisholm wrote about six culturally supportive teaching elements for technology integration in today’s classroom and suggests they should be common in general practice. He shared that to be effective; teachers must apply cultural awareness, cultural relevance, culturally supportive environments, equitable access, instructional flexibility and instructional integration. This WebQuest has definitely fulfilled these six because students will be working in small groups, encouraged to draw pictures to demonstrate understanding, and given full access to all the technological resources needed to perform this assignment. In addition, this lesson will be conducted in a safe environment with supports in place such as special education teachers, reading specialists, and ESL educators as well as all IEP's and 504 plans in place and honored.
