WebQuest
Understanding Values
Teacher Page
This WebQuest was originally intended to go along with The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie. I decided that the lesson itself could possibly stand alone, because values are present in all characters and authorial voices. I think that knowing the meaning and power of values will help students to make decisions, and also help with literary analysis of characters. The big picture is that learning about values helps us in understanding ourselves and in turn, other people. It may even help to build compassion and respect in the classroom.
